As November comes around it is
important to remember to spend extra time thinking of all we are grateful for. In the rush of the day, as the months and
years fly by, we get so caught up in living that we don’t spend time reflecting
and appreciating all it is we have.
It’s hard sometimes to be grateful when
we’ve had a rough day at work, the kids are bouncing off the walls, the car
broke down and you can’t afford to fix it, or you’ve lost someone you love. Things we have no control over happen without
us getting a say in how the day may go. It
is important to remember to be in the present moment, and know we cannot change
what has happened within the day, but we can sit down and reflect on all the
good.
For the month of November, try to set
aside some quiet time at the end of each day and think of all that you are grateful
for. Put a journal next to your bed, and
before you go to sleep think of one thing that you are grateful for and jot it
down. Then on your bad days you can look
back and think how beautiful life really is.
I am grateful for this breath, I am
grateful for my three beautiful and healthy children, I am grateful for each
snuggle, kiss, hug and "I love you" my children give to me, I am grateful for my husband
that is always there to comfort me on my bad days, I am grateful for my parents
who have always been supportive of my journey, I am grateful to have a roof
over my head, clean water, warm sheets, clothes on my back, I am grateful for
this life.
Now, what are you grateful for?
Namaste,
Jesse
